TIMBER SUSPENDED-BATTEN

WARMAFLOOR SUSPENDED FLOOR SYSTEM

The Warmafloor suspended floor system can be used in existing or new
buildings.
Timber battens are pre-installed to the joist to act as support for the installation. Warmafloor pre-grooved insulation panels are then fitted between the joist on the batten, with ungrooved end panels at the end of each joist run to enable pipe turns to be achieved from one joist to the next. Joists are notched as required 150mm from the wall. Heat diffusion plates are then installed and the Warmafloor PB Pipe work clipped into place and circuited back to the underfloor heating manifold.
The flooring of tongued and grooved chipboard or timber is then applied.

BATTEN FLOORS
The same system is also used in battened floors. The floor surface must be level and the battens of a standard depth.
SPRUNG FLOORS
As well as the system detailed above an alternative system is also available, which can also be used in sprung floors. This system utilises an insulation panel fitted between the battens above into which underfloor heating pipe work is installed, clipped into a fixing rail.
In all cases the flooring manufacturers recommendations regarding underfloor heating should be followed. Many now provide specific details and we generally have this data in house.
