Our
Pipework is manufactured in accordance with the standards laid out in
the 'Environmental and Performance Characteristics of Polybutylene Pipe'
document. Insulation Warmafloor has, for many years, recycled not only its own expanded polystyrene waste, but also a certain amount of material returned by other users to the factory. Since 1999 the company has used a new state of the art recycling system to enable both waste expanded polystyrene and polypropylene to be converted back into a solid state. This system is now fully operational and the end product is being used to manufacture polypropylene sheet.
In our manufacturing operations we have attempted to minimise damage to the environment. Solvent based adhesives have, where possible, been replaced by hot melt and water-based glues, to limit emissions. All new processes will be subject to a strict environmental examination.
When packaging we have tried to limit the environmental impact by keeping label size to a minimum and by wrapping packs in lightweight stretch wrap film. All boxes used in our packaging are made from recycled cardboard. We endeavour to use biodegradable packaging throughout.
The A.B.S plastic utilised for forming the system plate clipping system is vacuum formed from recycled material, i.e. extruded off cuts, and trimmed waste returned to the factory by moulding companies. At the end of its useful life, the system plate clipping system can be recycled and reused again as mouldable material.
Our manifolds are manufactured from brass and are totally recyclable. We assemble all components for our manifolds from our head office warehouse in the UK.
