Started in 1220 it was completed in 1258, with the Spire, the tallest in England (123m/404ft) added a generation later. 	In the new Refectory Restaurant Warmafloor has installed an underfloor heating system fitted beneath a superb timber floor installed by KAHRS of Chichester. This provides a welcome warmth to the restaurant which offers a self-service facility for light snacks, morning coffee, hot and cold lunches, afternoon tea and plenty more besides. This new building provides a unique area in which to relax and enjoy reasonably priced food and drink under its glass roof, with views to the spire soaring 123m (404 ft) above you.
