Warmafloor helping large inner city regeneration projects

Warmafloor has extensive experience in helping large and complex inner city regeneration projects reach their energy efficiency and sustainability targets. Warmafloor worked in partnership with LendLease on a variety of projects for the Olympic Delivery Authority.

The Athletes Village - five high-rise residential tower blocks - will accommodate some of the 17,000 athletes and officials during the event, and will afterwards be modified in the legacy phase to regenerate the Stratford area.

The site sets the highest standards for innovative construction techniques and environmental standards, with a minimum requirement to achieve level 4 of the code for sustainable homes.

Warmafloor provided an acoustic floor system incorporating underfloor heating and interfacing with a bespoke interface unit.

This project’s success has led to Warmafloor’s involvement in other projects relating to this sporting event, including the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy, Stratford Regional Station, Broxbourne Canoe Centre and St Mary’s College in Twickenham.
